All Kinds of Cars

Imagine all the ways you can travel, both on road and through the air. These books show you the things you expect, the cars, tractors and dump trucks, the aeroplanes, rockets and balloons, but also reveal the things you won’t: the sausage car and the galactic bus, the flying carrot and the cake plane. Here are the real and the wacky, the factual and the fantastic in illustrations using black and white and bright primary colours.

Carl Johanson studied at S:t Martin’s School of Art in London, and took a Master’s in Graphic Design and Illustration in Stockholm. His 2015 debut, All Kinds of Cars, a collection of real and imagined road vehicles, was a huge success and has been sold to ten countries so far. The companion volume, All Kinds of Planes takes to the air in both real and fantasy flying machines and in a similarly invigorating style. Both books inform, entertain and inspire. There is also a series of board books for very young children.
